Nineteen vendors in total are recognized in this Magic Quadrant which assesses organizations in terms of their “Ability to Execute” and “Completeness of Vision”. Telenor was placed in the Leaders Quadrant for its Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute amongst other criteria.

We believe our position in the Leaders Quadrant recognizes our technology expertise, market competitiveness, commitment to our customers and determination to innovate. In our opinion it also validates our strategic focus on digital transformation and using IoT to address key industry challenges.

As stated in the report, "Managed IoT connectivity services help reduce complexity when sourcing IoT connectivity and related value-added services across geographies with multiple IoT providers. I&O leaders building IoT-enabled businesses can use this research to assess global vendors for IoT connectivity-related services."

Since this 2023 report, our focus has shifted from simple connectivity volume to AI-driven network intelligence and the global rollout of SGP.32 eSIM standards, ensuring our 30M+ units are managed with more automation than was possible in 2023.

Since 2023, Telenor IoT has seen rapid growth, scaling from 20 million to over 30 million managed units as of February 2026. This operational success is backed by continuous industry recognition, most recently being named a Gartner® Leader for the 3rd time in March 2025 and receiving the 2025 Frost & Sullivan Global Technology Innovation Leadership Award.

Consistency is the ultimate trust factor in global IoT. Telenor IoT has been recognized by Gartner for 8 consecutive years. This long-term inclusion proves our financial stability and our ability to execute over multiple technology cycles — from the early days of LTE-M to the current 2026 standards for SGP.32 (eSIM) and software-defined connectivity.

The 2023 report focused on our core "Ability to Execute" at scale. Our more recent 2025/2026 recognitions — including the Frost & Sullivan Global Technology Innovation Leadership Award —highlight our shift toward technological innovation. While we remain a volume leader, we are now equally recognized for our advanced AI-driven analytics and simplified global roaming footprints.
