CEO Telenor Connexion and Head of Telenor IoT
Mats Lundquist is the CEO of Telenor Connexion and Head of IoT, responsible for Telenor´s IoT portfolio and sales globally. He oversees the global Telenor IoT strategy and all cross functional IoT efforts across the Telenor Group and its 9 mobile Opcos in the Nordic and Asian regions.
Mats Lundquist has worked in the IT and telecom industry for more than 20 years. Mats joined Telenor in 2007 and has been the CEO of Telenor Connexion, Telenor Group´s international IoT company, since 2015. He has also been heading the Telenor Sweden Broadband & TV division as well as the Telenor Sweden B2B division.
Prior to Telenor he was the CEO of TDC Song, CEO of Song Networks, CEO of Vattenfall´s telecom company and management consultant with McKinsey & Company for 8 years. Mats is a member of the Board of Lindholmen Science Park and has served as a board member of the Swedish Government Broadband Forum. He is a member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences and SNS, the Center for Business Policy and Studies.
He currently lives in Stockholm with his wife and 4 children. He holds a Master of Science from the Stockholm School of Economics and is a reserve officer in the Swedish Army.
Lisa Hultin joined Telenor Connexion as Chief Financial Officer in February 2020. Prior to joining Telenor Connexion, she held a role as Head of Business Performance Management at Telenor Sweden. Lisa has more than 15 years of experience in finance-related roles within companies such as KPMG and Trygg-Hansa. She is also acquainted with working in an international environment. During her time within the British insurance company RSA, she was Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the region Central & Eastern Europe and the Middle East and worked at the head office in London for 2 years. She has also held several Scandinavian roles. Lisa holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Linköping University.
As Chief Legal Officer Luciana Widengren is responsible for legal services to the global organization engaging in negotiations and closing major agreements and partnerships. She also advises on legal and compliance issues consistent with international laws, regulations, and Telenor policies. Luciana is engaged both in the GSMA global and the European working groups on policy and regulation for IoT. Her dedicated work within these working groups has helped form and drive GSMA’s global position on policy and regulation for IoT.
Dr. Cristoff Martin
Cristoff Martin is the Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor Connexion where he is responsible for marketing, strategy, IoT Cloud as well as longer term business development. Cristoff has more than 15 years’ experience in technical and international business from working in high tech and telecom industries including research, strategy, sales and product management. Prior to joining Telenor in 2017, Cristoff spent 5 years with Ericsson where he held several roles including heading Portfolio Management for the Cloud & IP, as well as the Networks business units. Other experience includes 6 years of strategy consulting for McKinsey & Co and technical research on connecting cars for satellite operator SES GLOBAL. Cristoff has a PhD in electrical engineering from KTH in Stockholm, Sweden.
As Chief Technology Officer, Martin Whitlock leads Telenor Connexion’s global technology team, driving major technology-enabled initiatives as part of the company’s expanding business strategy. Martin has extensive experience from the telecom industry. Prior to taking on this role, he held the position as Director at Northstream, where he was responsible for strategy assessments, sourcing projects and change management engagements with a broad range of clients. Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with major in Radio Communications Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
Robert Bellwaldius is the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for the delivery and operations of Telenor IoTs products and services globally. His responsibility also includes Customer support, Quality management and Security. Robert Bellwaldius has worked in the IT and telecom industry for over 30 years. Robert joined Europolitan, one of the first Swedish GSM operators, in 1996. And has been the COO of Telenor Connexion since 2014. A role he previously held at Wireless Maingate during the period 2007-2014 when he also served as the CTO. During his time, 1996-2007, at Europolitan (later Vodafone Sweden and then Telenor) he served as Head of IT, Head of Product Management and Head of Product & Services. Before his time in the telecom industry, he worked as a Senior project manager in the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen project, developing next generation multirole combat aircraft.
Robert lives in Malmö with his wife and has 2 children. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Linköping, Sweden.
As Chief Human Resources Officer Karin Stenklef oversees all aspects of human resource management, policies and practices for our company. Karin Stenklef has 15 years of experience within the HR field from several different industries such as telematics, medtech, shipping and retail. Prior to joining Telenor Connexion, Karin worked for Johnson & Johnson Group. Karin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the University of Gothenburg.
Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Global
Seth Ryding is responsible for heading Telenor Connexion’s operations outside the Nordics. In this role, he drives business across sales, business development, partner strategy and development, and go-to-market strategies throughout Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ryding brings more than 15 years of operational experience in the telecom industry. He joined Telenor in 2003 and has held a number of senior positions including VP Market Development at Telenor in Myanmar, Head of Sales at Telenor Sweden’s Broadband & TV Division, CEO of Open Universe at Telenor Sweden and most recently CSO APAC for Telenor Connexion. Ryding holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering from the University of Linköping, Sweden.
Chief Sales & Solution Officer (CSO) Nordics
In his role as a Chief Sales & Solution Officer for the Nordics Paulo Vergos is responsible for reaching our Nordic IoT goals and objectives related to total Nordic IoT sales, Nordic IoT market share development, sales force productivity and profitability. He brings over 24 years of experience from the IT and Telecom industry. He has held several management positions within Telenor Sweden (and Vodafone) since he joined the company in 2001, such as Operations Director and Sales Director. Paulo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) focused in financial management.
