In recent years, companies have accelerated their digital transformation efforts under the pressure of the covid pandemic, the demand for more sustainable solutions and increased competition. IoT has been one of the key technology enablers transforming many industries and creating value for both businesses and their customers.
But how do you go about connecting your products? How do you add value to the end customer? What should you keep in mind when designing new connected products? And most importantly: how do you get started? Although it might seem like a long and costly initiative, taking the first steps can be faster and easier than you expect.
On October 25, Telenor IoT and AWS will host the Stockholm IoT Gathering, a chance for IoT enthusiasts of all levels to take advantage of the industry leaders’ vast experience in the IoT arena. We will examine the possibilities of IoT, share lots of real examples of business applications, and dive into the new technology.

Anders Granquist is an accomplished eMobility executive, currently heading DEFA's marketing and business development team. As a member of the executive management, he has played a central role in DEFA's evolution into a leading electric vehicle charging provider. Anders is actively spearheading strategic initiatives and technology-driven development projects to support the company's growth in this evolving landscape.
Before joining DEFA, Anders amassed nearly a decade of experience as a management and technology consultant, with experience from banking & finance, renewable energy, and diagnostics industries.
Anders holds a MSc degree in Innovation and Business Development from Copenhagen Business School and a Master of Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School.
As system architecture owner for the Flygt portfolio, including the intelligent Concertor pumping system, Alexander ensures that Xylem products work seamlessly together delivering innovative, high- performance solutions to the world’s toughest liquid applications. He is also recognized as a Chief Engineer for systems within Xylem.
Alexander has a long history of taking innovations from whiteboard to waste water including everything from R&D and protyping to sales training and post launch support. He is particularly fond of developing self learning, autonomous systems and teams. This includes the adaptive SmartRun and Concertor systems as well as agile software, support and architecture governance teams. He has been a driver of connected solutions since 2012 when he developed a remote energy assessment tool for pumping stations, the first IOT service within Flygt. This enabled sales teams to back up claims with hard data in real customer applications.
Bengt Nordström is a senior telecommunications executive, providing business and technology leadership across business strategy development, technology and product assessment, and large transformational programs. Based in Stockholm, Bengt is a Strategy & Consulting Managing Director CMT at Accenture.
Bengt co-founded Northstream in 1998, and held the position of CEO for 11 years – in August 2019, Northstream was acquired by Accenture. Bengt has also previously held the position of CTO and Executive Director of Smartone in Hong Kong, as well as other management positions with Ericsson, Comviq and Netcom Consultants. Bengt has also held a position in the Executive Committee of the GSM Association, in addition to chairing the GSM Association Asia Pacific Interest Group.
Ajay Rane is currently the Head of WW IoT Business Development at Amazon Web Services. His team works with leading Communication Service Providers to transform the IoT business and unlock growth.
Ajay is a customer obsessed veteran of the telecommunications and semiconductor industries with a track record of delivering value through innovation. Previously, Ajay managed IoT ecosystem partners as VP of Business Development at Sigfox and led product management for LTE chipset as VP of Marketing and Business Development at MBit Wireless.
Ajay started his career at Intel where, over a span of 11 years, he held positions of increasing responsibility within the flash memory, servers, WiMAX, and Wi-Fi businesses.
As Chief Technology Officer, Martin Whitlock leads Telenor Connexion’s global technology team, driving major technology-enabled initiatives as part of the company’s expanding business strategy. Martin has extensive experience from the telecom industry.
Prior to taking on this role, he held the position as Director at Northstream, where he was responsible for strategy assessments, sourcing projects and change management engagements with a broad range of clients. Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with major in Radio Communications Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
