Verisure was looking for a partner who could help them realise their vision of using modern wireless technology to develop smart, connected homes. This represented a major shift from the time when a home alarm was traditionally connected to the phone line. Then, security was at the risk of being compromised because phone lines could be cut.
Verisure was looking to develop differentiating service experiences throughout the value chain. This meant that factors like service, quality and reliability had to consistently be of the highest possible standards. It also meant that Verisure’s customers should experience their service offerings as seamlessly as possible.
Many of the services planned were ground breaking, which meant that components needed to be developed and rigorously tested before market release.
Verisure depended on Telenor Connexion not just for the connectivity, but even R&D support. It was most cost effective for Verisure to ascertain already at development stage, the different data loads that the various components in a solution require.
Ultimately, Verisure was looking for a partner with the skills, resources and dedication to transform their innovative ideas into leading edge service drivers for customers.
At the Telenor Connexion Test Lab, all the systems’ components were pushed to their limits – data load, speed, user numbers, hardware and software – in short, the entire ecosystem. And, to ensure results that met all expectations, Verisure Securitas Direct and their subcontractors were involved throughout the process. Here, the various players could adjust and optimise their part of the whole system.
It’s been a journey from burglar alarm to a smart and secure service. We needed a system that could work regardless of a power failure or cut wires. To help realize this vision, Telenor Connexion was there from the beginning, providing the technological foundation for Verisure. Trust is essential to any good partnership, and we had plenty of that from the start.

The possibility for an intelligent home is finally here. We’ll see more changes in the next 5 years than we have in the last 50.
