When you think “industrial innovation,” most people imagine hardware, sensors, and software. But the heartbeat of this industry is collaboration and Emerson Exchange 2025 proved that again.
Telenor IoT was invited to participate not just as a vendor, but as Emerson’s primary global connectivity partner. That’s a big responsibility and a relationship we take seriously.
Together with my colleagues from Telenor IoT, Pontus Filippini, Fredrik Tibblin, and Rich Marriott, we spent several intense days at the event meeting Emerson teams and end customers from across the globe. With more than 2,800 attendees, the event was buzzing with ideas, use cases, and deep technical sessions.
Across more than 40 stakeholder meetings, one thing became clear: the future of industrial automation hinges on global, reliable, and secure connectivity. Regardless of who we spoke to during the event, the message was consistent: connected products are no longer a nice-to-have, they’re essential.
A highlight for Telenor IoT was seeing the first versions of cellular IoT equipped Rosemount products with embedded global IoT connectivity. It was a tangible example of what we’ve been working towards: helping industrial customers simplify complexity, ensure uptime, and gain visibility into field operations globally.
Events like this offer a valuable pulse check. They remind us to zoom out and ask: are we solving the right problems? Are we easy to work with? Are we enabling scale, not slowing it down, do we have the right knowledge?
The answer, based on what we heard, is that Telenor IoT is on the right track. But as with everything in industrial IoT, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. That’s what keeps things interesting. It’s all about great collaboration and building long term partnerships. We are already looking forward to the next Emerson Exchange event in Dubai 2026!
