IAA Mobility in Munich has once again proven itself as the stage where the global automotive industry shapes the future of mobility. For Telenor IoT, it was an opportunity to showcase our latest solutions, share our expertise on AI-powered connectivity, and connect with OEMs and partners from around the world.
From September 8–12, 2025, Telenor IoT exhibited at IAA Mobility in Hall B2, presenting our portfolio of solutions designed for the digital car. With more than 25 million devices connected globally and over 20 years of IoT experience, Telenor IoT is a trusted provider of managed connectivity for the automotive sector.
Our delegation included experts from Europe and Asia, led by Marie Högberg, Head of Automotive, who engaged in discussions with car manufacturers, suppliers, and technology partners about how connectivity can create reliable, secure, and compliant driver experiences.
On the Yellow Stage, Marie Högberg and Anders Bresell, Head of Data, presented how AI is transforming automotive connectivity.
Both messages tied directly to the launch of IoT Drive and Consumer Connect — our new offerings that help automakers simplify compliance, protect brand integrity, and scale connected services with confidence.

The launch of IoT Drive generated strong interest, with recognition not just from Scandinavian OEMs but also from global automotive players. Many noted that they had already heard of the platform and were keen to learn more.
Recurring themes in our IAA discussions included:
Telenor IoT also played an active role at the Europe-Asia Automotive Innovation Forum, an official IAA event focused on cross-regional collaboration.
In his speech, Kelvin Pan, General Manager China at Telenor IoT, highlighted that Telenor IoT has over 20 years of experience and more than 25 million IoT SIMs in operation worldwide, with an annual growth rate of 24% since 2009. He stressed that eight of the top ten Chinese car OEMs already trust Telenor IoT to power their global ambitions.
Kelvin introduced IoT Drive as the platform that delivers:
This reinforced Telenor IoT’s position as a bridge between European and Asian automotive innovation, helping automakers scale across markets with confidence.
IAA Mobility 2025 confirmed that connectivity is now at the core of modern mobility strategies. From AI-driven monitoring to monetization through Consumer Connect, Telenor IoT is committed to helping automakers deliver the reliable, branded, and compliant digital experiences that today’s drivers expect.
