Certified Devices for Connected Products

IoT Complete includes a family of secure, certified devices designed for manufacturers who want to add mobile connectivity without building or certifying their own connectivity hardware. Each device comes with an embedded eUICC SIM, tuned radio performance, and configurable firmware managed through the Management Portal.

This makes it easier to launch, scale, or modernise connected products while reducing development effort and avoiding multi-supplier complexity.

Why Use IoT Complete Devices

  • Faster time to market

Developing and certifying IoT hardware is costly and time-consuming. IoT Complete devices are pre-tested, certified, and ready to integrate.
  • Reliable connectivity built in

An embedded eUICC SIM gives access to global mobile networks with multi-operator coverage in most markets. Devices are equipped with LTE-M or LTE Cat 4 modems depending on the model family.
  • Consistent behaviour across regions

The platform is certified for Europe (CE, including EU cybersecurity standard EN 18031), the USA (FCC), and Canada (IC), helping ensure predictable performance across countries.
  • Manage firmware without writing code

Configurable Firmware lets you define device behaviour in the portal using simple drag-and-drop tools. No custom firmware development is required.

Form Factors

The device platform is available in three from factors, all based on the same core architecture:

Enclosed device

A ready-to-install unit for mounting inside or near your product. Suitable for electrical cabinets, machinery, building systems, or standalone installations.

Board-level device

A compact PCB for integration inside your product’s enclosure, with connectors for Ethernet, power, and industrial interfaces.

Castellated-edge module

A surface-mount module designed to be soldered onto your own PCB, offering maximum flexibility for embedded applications.

All form factors share a common core and support:

Configurable Firmware

IoT Complete devices include a firmware and application layer managed through the Management Portal, without the need to write code. This enables device configuration, data handling, and access to built-in dashboards for supported use cases.

What you can configure

  • Data intervals and reporting logic
  • Protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, Wireless M-Bus, Ethernet, UART
  • Local processing rules and triggers
  • How and when data is sent
  • Device behaviour across different conditions

Over-the-air updates

You can update firmware across a fleet or on individual units, and schedule service windows to avoid downtime. This gives your products a flexible, secure way to evolve without managing firmware development or release cycles.

Health Monitoring and Quality of Service

When used with IoT Complete devices, additional monitoring and optimisation features are available to support stable operation over time.

Health Monitoring

Real-time insight into device and service status, including root-cause information when disturbances occur. Accessible via portal or API.

Quality of Service Optimisation

Devices evaluate network quality and can switch operator profiles automatically to maintain stable performance in challenging coverage conditions.

Together, these tools make field operations more predictable and reduce the time spent diagnosing connectivity issues.

Security and Compliance

Security is built into the device platform:

  • Approved under EN 18031 (EU cybersecurity standard)
  • Certified for CE, FCC, and IC
  • Secure boot and managed firmware
  • Integrated with Telenor IoT's ISO 27001 security framework
  • GDPR-aligned data handling

This reduces the effort needed to meet regulatory and customer security requirements.

How Integration Works

1

Select your form factor

Choose the enclosed unit, board-level version, or castellated module depending on how you want to integrate with your product.

2

Connect your product

Use the supported interfaces to link sensors, controllers, or existing electronics.

3

Configure behaviour

Set data logic, protocols, and rules in the Management Portal to match your product’s needs.

4

Add monitoring and optimisation

Enable Health Monitoring or QoS for full operational visibility.

5

Deploy and scale

Devices activate automatically with their embedded SIM and remain fully manageable through the portal.
