Minol- ZENNER Connect GmbH selects Telenor Connexion to connect their smart meters

Minol-ZENNER Group, a leading global smart meter supplier for the real estate industry, has selected Telenor Connexion to connect their standalone products as well as their LoRaWAN gateways.

(Stockholm, 22-12 2021) Minol-ZENNER Group, a leading global smart meter supplier for the real estate industry, has selected Telenor Connexion to connect their standalone products as well as their LoRaWAN gateways.

Minol-ZENNER Connect GmbH, a family- run group of companies that offers measurement technology, billing services and IoT and e-mobility solutions, has more than 3,700 employees worldwide and is onsite in more than 100 countries.

Minol- Zenner required a reliable managed connectivity supplier that could seamlessly deliver the coverage they needed to scale their global solution.

The German manufacturer started producing water meters in 1924 and has since grown their product house to include heat, gas and smoke meters. They first introduced their smart meters in 2009, and their rapid global expansion led to the need for a connectivity solution that could handle more than 2.5 million sensors around the world.

Under the terms of the agreement, Telenor Connexion will provide Minol- Zenner with global managed connectivity and will enable access to over 500 networks across 200+ countries.

This will enable Minol- Zenner to easily and securely enable data transmission to their customers in an efficient and cost-effective way.

Marcus Kirchdoefer, Managing Director of Minol- ZENNER Connect GmbH, says: “Our technological and geographical requirements meant that we needed an established, reliable connectivity solution, and Telenor Connexion’s mobile network and extensive experience with IoT made them the right choice as our strategic global partner. Their managed connectivity solution has allowed us to roll out our full range of measurement technology for all types of meters around the world.

“By providing reliable, robust connectivity we can continue to ensure accurate and up to date consumption and measuring data for our customers.”

Seth Ryding, Chief Sales & Solution Officer APAC, EMEA and Americas at Telenor Connexion, says: “Over the years we have seen how connectivity has increasingly become one of the key components in how the smart meter industry collects and provides vital data. We are thrilled to be selected as Minol- Zenner’s managed connectivity strategic partner moving forward. We look forward to supporting them as they scale their IoT solution throughout their target markets and continue to expand their innovative offering.”
