Telenor is one of the world’s largest operator groups providing IoT services both across the world through its dedicated Sweden based IoT affiliate, Telenor Connexion, as well as its operating companies in nine countries in the Nordics and Asia. This year Telenor Group is recognized by Gartner as a Leader amongst 18 managed IoT connectivity service providers.

For the last three years Telenor has been recognized by Gartner Inc in the Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide. We believe that, as a result of Telenor’s accelerated IoT strategy, the entire Telenor Group is recognized in the Leader quadrant for this year’s report.

Telenor has been assisting both global and local clients in putting innovative managed IoT connectivity solutions in place through a network of partners for more than two decades, with offerings composed of managed connectivity, analytics and managed IoT cloud services.

Telenor Connexion’s CEO, Mats Lundquist says “To us, being positioned as a Leader in this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide, is a fantastic achievement and a result of the focused and joint efforts on IoT within the entire Telenor Group. It is particularly encouraging to see continued satisfaction from our customers on the excellent customer services we provide, and we believe this is a key reason why we are positioned as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant.”

Companies in the Gartner Magic Quadrant are assessed by their ability to execute and completeness of vision. The assessment criteria for ability to execute included evaluating the product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness/record, marketing execution, customer experience, and operations.

Criteria for completeness of vision included market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering (product) strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation, and geographic strategy. Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide, was previously called Magic Quadrant for Managed M2M services, Worldwide.
